Operating in a community-based model, Discovery provides students with learning development services, in both small group and one-on-one settings. 

By providing mediation through dynamic, interactive language, students develop and learn to apply clear cognitive strategies that develop thinking, reasoning, and academic abilities. 

Students who receive the cognitive enriching services of the Discovery Program are better able to: 

• remain attentive and focused on the teacher’s voice
• accurately hear and retain information given by their teacher
• read and register visual information (on chalkboard, whiteboard, computer screen, etc.)
• recognize and understand the main points of what is being taught and accurately determine the important information to note
• remember the spelling of words needing to be written
• write legibly
• correctly and independently complete homework assignments
